Editing a transformation created in the Soma

When you leverage the Soma UI to formulate a Soma transformation and add it to an axon, if you need to modify or include new directives, it's suggested to do these changes in the Soma UI itself.

Take note that if you manually adjust the recipe or incorporate new steps within the Soma transformation that impact the output schema, it's necessary to manually revise the output schema in the Soma transformation so it aligns with the recipe changes. Only those recipes that are created or modified in the Soma UI will auto-create and auto-update the output schema in the Soma transformation.

To modify a recipe in the Soma transformation that was initially constructed in the Soma UI, carry out the following steps:

1. On the Soma transformation, hit the Properties button.

2. Next, click on Wrangle.

The Soma UI will now open and display the dataset and the recipe.

1. Proceed to modify the recipe.

Once completed, hit the Apply button. The Algoreus Genesis will then launch and open the Soma transformation. The modifications you performed in Soma will be reflected in the Soma transformation, including any changes to the output schema.
