# Swapping two column names

In Turium, you can interchange the names of two columns.

{% hint style="info" %}
It's important to note that only the column names are interchanged; the data within the columns remains unchanged.
{% endhint %}

To interchange two column names, follow these steps:

1. Check the box to the right of the name of each column you want to interchange.
2. From the drop-down menu, click Interchange column names.

Turium will interchange the column names and adds the interchange directive to the recipe.
