# Viewing and downloading a schema in Soma

In Algoreus, you can review and export a schema whenever necessary. Regularly checking the schema while applying transformations to a dataset serves as a quality check and keeps you on top of the transformations taking place. You might also want to export the schema for reasons like backup, adding to a version control system (like GitHub), or sharing it with your development team.

Here are the steps to review or export a schema in Algoreus:

1. **Open the dataset**: With your chosen dataset open in Algoreus, look for the "More" option.
2. **Access the schema**: Select "View Schema" from the "More" dropdown menu. This will open a window showcasing your current schema.
3. **Export the schema**: To export the schema, look for the download icon situated at the upper right corner of the schema window.

With these steps, you can regularly review your schema and back it up, add it to your version control system, or share it with fellow developers as needed.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.turium.ai/home/algoreus/turium-connector-documentation/turium-fabriq-overview/how-to-guides/soma-transformation-user-guide/viewing-and-downloading-a-schema-in-soma.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
